Is this better than Traktor DJ Studio for what I need? I have the Behringer controller, but would it be worth it for me to go with Traktor 3 at half price? What is the advantage?

to answer your question chris, i believe it's the same software. the demo i d-led said traktor 3, but when i opened it up it said dj studio 3, and from what i've seen on the research it's the same thing.
to answer your question on the other thread about the beat grid, it has little lines that come up that you can see the beat in the waveform, sounds like a good deal, wish i had some cash right now i would be all over this....

I see it's only $119. That's only $20 more than Traktor DJ Studio. This is tempting.  I think I'm gonna push my luck and wait til next paycheck. That will give me time to download the demo and try it out. If the sale is over then I will just go with DJ Studio.

If this was Traktor Scratch on a 50% sale, then I would jump on it.

this is the full version of traktor. same version i use. it will work fine with your bcd2000. as far as this being only 20 bucks more then dj studio, i think that 100 buck version is LE. trust me when i say you want the full version. trust me.

both are Traktor 3.3, just on the site its called Traktor 3.3 and on this site, its called Traktor DJ Studio 3.3.  No where on that site it says its LE.  Usually on the NI site, its usually higher than most other places.

well I kinda don't have it in the budget right now. I have the first of my new car payments due in a week. That's gonna zap my bank account pretty bad. I have it is savings, but we are saving for our anniversary in September. That's why I said next paycheck, which is on July 18. I know for sure i will have it then.

well after looking at both "versions" they seem identical. and that prompted me to just buy Traktor 3 from that link Dunamis provided. Turns out they are doing a 4th of July weekend sale and pretty much gave me free shipping. It was actually a discount on the purchase, but it took care of most of the shipping and my final cost was only $101!

Question... I assume you can get Traktor 3, then purchase the Audio 8 DJ, and other bits to essentially put a Traktor Scratch package together yourself. Am I wrong here?

I'm sure you could, traktor scratch has special cables that link your CD or Turntables up, so that is the only other piece you would need, other than what you mentioned and the scratch vinyl or Cd media.
