we are all going to be figuring it out for the rest of our lives...
chris is dead on. the best thing i ever did for my ministry was to outline it specifically. i did it for ministry in england and i have done it for ministry here in the states. once i outlined it i was able to start really living it because i knew what i needed to do. from your post, it sounded like you were just at the initial stage of it, so i ask questions to get you thinking critically about it...
its part of my ministry... haha

Awesome Chris! You need to pursue, pursue, pursue! With all of the experiences you have had in your walk before and after christ I can see God using you in a powerful way to show people the heart of the Father. Seek the Kingdom, Seek a spiritual father (if you don't have one), and stir up the spritual giftings or fan them into flame as the English Standard says.
