Looking down an open highway

i have serato, but it's a little bit bulky for what i'm needing, let me explain.
i'm in school for the military and just want a SIMPLE dj mixing program so that i can keep my skills up a little bit, and not be so bored when i have a three day weekend stuck in my room with no car.
i have enough tracks to throw some decent stuff together so i want to just throw some mixes toghether on the OLD laptop.
any suggestions?
i've tried a demo of dss dj, and it's okay (split cueing which is what i need, dont have an external soundcard).
any other suggestions?
just dont know what's out there, i'd even take a software mixer that i can piece stuff together and "cheat", might make my mixing actually sound decent   Undecided Tongue.
any thoughts?

you might be able to upgrade to the new serato or you could buy a total control from Numark and it comes with traktor LE for like $250, nice easy set up.

thanks guys, i actually found something (freeware believe it or not) that does pretty much what i wanted. it's TOTALLY cheating (trakaxpc) but it works for what i need right now.
maybe when i get home i'll try putting serato on here and using it internally and see how it does, but for now what i've got works just fine.
will definitely look for your thread though, maybe there's some magic program that hasnt been found yet  Wink
