My brother was swinging on are swing in the barn here in Kansas. The barn is about 30 feet high and the swing can go about 25 feet off the ground if you go fast enough. My brother fell from around 20 feet landing on his back. He fractured his lower back in several spots. This much i know for sure. The rest is hard for me to understand cause its complicated and im not a doctor. Yesterday he got a cat scan and a bone density scan, and he has developed a rare form of arthritis of the back. His bones will never heal perfectly even with surgery and medicine. My brother can barely walk and cant lift anything. He has to lay on the couch all day. My mom called me just now crying and i tried to make out everything she said. We got the results back today. My brother used to play sports and run outside and bike and everything. Now he may be like this for the rest of his life. He doesn't deserve this. No 14 year old or any kid should be cut from being active and being able to be young and healthy. The worst news is, it could get worse. Since the spinal cord may have taken damage. He may lose feeling and movement in his lower half. He could become paralyzed later down the road. This is such a big challenge God is deciding to put us through and my brother. God is the great healer. I pray that all this could go away and my brother can have a normal life. Please pray for him and I will update the condition when i have the chance. I don't know if i got everything right through the phone but ill find out tonight
