My car was apparently involved in a hit and run last night. The metal got pushed up so that it's laying against the tires, which makes it undrivable.

Stupid me only has liability on my insurance, not collision.

Everyone knows I don't have money for a new car.

I'm scrambling trying to find ways to work and back.

Wait... your car was hit or you hit someone and didn't know it?

Bending and cutting that metal away shouldn't be too hard if that's all the damage there is. Repairing it though, that's another issue.

My goodness Sweetheart your having a bad run again, dont take it personally its not a direct attack on you things like this just happen, I agree with the others bendit or bash it out s its not rubbing and keep driving it, go get some cheap cheap can of paint that is simular colour and spray it so it doesnt rust, if in doubt Im sure there is someone at your church willing to help out and get it inshape for you I would but live a little far away.


SO IS THERE ANYONE IN THIS COMUNITY OF TASTYFRESH THAT LIVES CLOSE AND COULD HELP OTU WITH GETTING THIS CAR IN SHAPE? ? ? ? ?

Well here's what I know so far.

When I took out a personal loan from citi-finacial, they took hold of my title as collateral to make sure I make my loan payments. They also MADE me get collision coverage, which I had forgotten about till like 10 am. They will cover up to 2500 in repair.

BUT.....I need to wait still. They need a copy of the police report which the officer told me would not be ready till tomorrow. (and there's a friggin 15 dollar fee for that! I literally don't have 15 dollars in my bank account. I was down to 28 and had to pay 18 of it to take a friggin cab to work. 15 dollars for a cab!  Angry)  ........so I gotta take them the copy of the police report. I need to wait till they send someone out to take pictures of the damage (I dunno why. I guess they need to see the extent of the damage and see that it's not drivable) AND they need an estimate of repair costs. So all is kinda in limbo right now.

So until they take pictures I CAN'T bend the metal away. Trust me, that was Plan A. Jeff was gonna come over and do it till I learned all this other stuff. As soon as the pictures are taken heck yeah, I'll freakin chip off metal if I need to.

But alas, right now everything is in limbo.

And in reference to my other post here.....I am still a bit spooked out when I'm at work after it gets dark. They have another person with me now, so I'm cool.....but if it was me alone, I would definetly be panicing.

Car problems like this stink. I had someone attempt a hit and run on me a few years ago, but the idiot was sooo intoxicated that she swerved to the other side of the street, hit another car and couldn't figure out how to reverse and pull away. Fortunately the police showed up and I was able to go after her insurance company for the damage. I was without my car for 2 weeks, had to prepay the rental car company over $300 before her insurance company finally reimbursed me a month and a half later. I know what you're going through and I'm praying for your sanity. Keep your head up
