BTW, you gotta stop looking at the consumer cards. Seriously. You get these pro cards from music stores.
Here's sam ash's listings
. I'm not saying you have to buy from Sam Ash, but that will put you in the right direction as far as what to look for. AND... not every card there will do what I'm saying you need. If the card has something similar to the phrase "...for DJ-style cueing" it *should* work for you.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to cue on the creative and I'm 90% sure that the latency will be so bad that it's not even usable. AND, I never saw anything in ASIO4ALL that would allow you to cue a channel with those drivers that wasn't set up for it in the first place.
On the turtlebeach... talk to their tech support ppl. Explain that you need the headphone jack for CUEING something different than what is being played over the stereo out. If they say you can get it to work... great.
I sent an email to the tech support asking them the question, I will see what they say and let you know. Thanks Again bro.

You could also cue using a mixer. I don't like Traktor's mixer, personally, so I mix using my regular mixer, with makes cueing a non-issue.

Ok... for using a mixer, it's even MORE critical that you have 2 separate stereo channels. You'd have to run each stereo line out to separate inputs on the mixer. Besides, t4cm is trying to avoid as much gear as possible at the moment until he's sure he wants to do this.
What's wrong with Traktor's mixer?

I have a mixer already. Nothing crazy but it does "the job". It is from Audio Technica.
Right now I have the output of my computer running through my mixer and also of course my amp. I have always said.. you have to start somewhere....

No, because he's only got a single out. My point was, with an additional cheapo sound card, and ASIO4ALL, he can start mixing tomorrow. I have no idea the man's budget. If you can shell out for proper gear, then by all means do! You'll never regret it. But if you have weight a year before you can afford to shell out, then spend the 30$ tomorrow and at least you have something to do for a year

Nothing wrong with it... I just don't like it
I don't have a controller, so I would have to use my mouse/keyboard for fading and mixing, and it's just not comfortable. I tried. I prefer the tactility of a real mixer, any day. If I eventually get a controller I might be able to do away with it, but that's not on my roadmap at present.

My budget is very very tight !!! So what you are saying is I can get a USB sound card and download that software ASIO4ALL, run the usb and the factory sound card(single output) to my mixer and then I should be able to cue up trax via through my mixer? If there is anything you need to add to this statment on how to do this, PLEASE let me know !! THANKS !!!!

You can try that, but I doubt it will work. You need to get a true multi-channel out card. If ASIO4ALL can force that, you'll be fine. I just don't think it will do that for you. Period.
You don't NEED a mixer in any case, but it might be nice to have one.

Thank you for your help. I did go to DJ tech tools and looked at what they suggested. When I get money I will probably go with the one you sent me the link on and they suggested. I found one site only charging $100.00 Can I ask what setup do you run?

I'm using my Dell Latitude D820's internal sound card, it's a Sigmatel device. Add to that an Edirol USB sound card, model UA-3D (I bought for 50$).
Standard cabling... I've got 2 turntables and 2 lines from the laptop, a stereo output that goes back to the laptop, and then cue/headphone out on the front (not pictured).
Traktor preferences, see the ASIO coundcard chosen, and the ASIO settings aggregating the two sound devices into a single virtual device.
http://www.jpuddy.net/other/images/traktor%20preferences%20-%20soundcard.jpg
Traktor preferences, see the output routing where you select the outputs, ASIO presents them named as their sound device names.

Ok, so you're using the audio on your laptop too. Inefficient, but I guess it works.
How do you record your set then? Back in through...?
