Your lights are being watched

I know no one intended for this to suck....and everyone has genuine reasons....but dude, C-stone is like, falling apart. I've watched as one by one people had to decline going, and with the most recent drop outs and the decision to not persue a generator stage it's just like what the fuzz is going on?

I'm not mad at any of the decisions made. It just seems like a lot of sadness and dissapointment surrounding the event.

Would it be silly to say that it almost feels like Cornerstone in general is under attack? At least coming from the Dj world? Well, if it does sound silly, I said it anyways, so oh well.

Even my group from Pa shrunk from it's normal size of 15 down to 4. But us 4 are committed to going. And I know once there it will rock....

.....but MAN all this sucks.

Ok my rant is done.

It's just rough times. Gas is outrageous causing people to reconsider if the drive is worth it and then there is the cost of food at the festival. It's just very expensive overall and a lot of people are struggling with thier everyday lives. yes it does suck. But I don't think it is anything like an attack on the festival.

I wouldn't say it's falling apart.  We're just having to make some changes to the original plan.  It's more like God is steering us in a different direction to achieve our goals.  None of us are sad or disappointed,  because we now stand on better footing to capitalize on successes from last year.

The reality of the situation is last year,  our generator stage,  while cool and fun,  probably wasn't the best method for us to draw new interest.  Best case scenario is generator stage AND cds,  which we hope to be able to do next year.

Hope that eases your mind a bit.

Cstone is HARDLY falling apart. I will admit that we might have been going in a slightly different direction that what God had originally intended, but we're on track now. We *should* be set to go. The biggest hurdle right now for any of us should be the gas money.  Cool

Oh.... and if makes you feel any better, we (kevin and I) had this feeling about a month ago, so we're very happy at where we are now.

I really wanted to pursue CS this year soo much... that I was willing to strain myself to get there... after a couple of days thought, and finding out last night about the gen stage... It was made easy for me to change my mind this year.

Though I may not be there in person, I will be in spirit. Anyway I can help you guys with this project, lemme know... IDK what I could do, however, I'm gonna donate anyways. Smiley

Nobody should ever strain to make cstone unless they're planning it. It costs a ton of money to attend and if you don't have it... you don't need to go.

and that led to me deciding not to go.

Cornerstone is not falling apart. I am going to light up the Afterhours club stage with 7000 lumens of custom video projections on a 20' x 10' screen. Add to that intelligent lights, haze. fog and a 4 days of top notch DJ's...

Not washed up, not washed up, not washed up...
