For at least 6 months I have been encouraged by various producers, like Joel, to buy the Thomas Penton sample CD. Well today I did and it was >100000000000000% worth it
thanks for the great advice. I looooooooooooooooooove it!

Both for one low price...  Wink

I was curious how you think they sound next to Logics kits?

I don't use Logic's kits on a regular basis, but I think the Thomas Penton samples are far superior to any sample set I've heard.

Btw, I spent $1,100 today and got the following:
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Reveal6/
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Servo200/
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Omega/
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Studio-RTA-Creation-Station-Studio-Desk-546550-i1152461.gc
http://www.resonantvibes.com/samples.php?id=9

Which adds to my current setup:
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/KeystationPro88-main.html
http://steinberg.net/983+M52087573ab0.html
http://flstudio.com/documents/what.html

...well the last one (logic) is only half way legitimate, but the rest I paid a pretty penny for.

If you order the TP sample CD from resonant vibes you get to download it immediately instead of waiting for a CD to come in the mail.
Part 1 (samples) = $50
Part 2 (loops) = $50
Part 1 + Part 2 (combo) = $70
I didn't buy part 2 because I feel crummy buying loops. I always make my own.

If you don't have Part 1 and you produce, then let me tell you where your next $50 is going to (after food, etc...). It is that good.  Cool

you see how I did that... took the acronym and well yeah toilet paper.
But um yeah Thomas Penton was going to be my second guess at the acronym.

Has anyone on here made there own sample packs?

I know that I've made my own refills for reason... granted nothing amazing but it does add a unique sound.
