...it's pretty much asking for it!

I should tell the story again of how I met DJuiceD. It was hilare.

So we were holidaying in Finland, a year before we moved here (scoping it out, in a sense). That's August 06 I suppose.  I had mentioned to DJuiceD that we should hook up, but that was it, no plans, no idea where he lived (didn't know the city, or anything at all).

We were staying with a friend in Helsinki, and she had told me about a guy at her church she wanted to introduce me to, who loved raves. We went to her church, and I was sitting there bored (not a Finnish speaker/understander), when I noticed this guy at the soundboard. He looked oddly familiar, but I knew no one in Finland should look familiar... so I was puzzled. I was sure I'd seen him before, but I really couldn't think who.

I asked my friend who he was. You've got to understand here that in Finnish, J is pronounced like a Y, and the language is phonetic, so the e on the end gets pronounced also. She replied his name was "Yuiseh", basically... that's my phonetic rendering. I said:
"Hmmm... he looks a bit like a guy I know, I can't really believe it's him, but he looks like a guy I know that we call Juice."

She drew a blank, and just said "No, we call him Yuiseh."

I sat for a while, pondering the possibilities, until she said, "But, he is the guy I wanted to introduce to you." So then I was really intrigued. She called him over at the end of the meeting, and I got up the courage to say, "I'm sorry, but are you familiar with a web community called Tastyfresh?" He gave me the most surprised look ever, said Yes, and I introduced myself.

And the rest is history.

What are the odds of that eh? So bizarre. Of all the gin joints...
