Most music producer that I know like gadgets and cell phones are on the top of that list.

So lets have it.. what phones do you use?

Do you ever use them in production?

For me I have to say that I use a T-mobile Dash/HTC Exalibur.
It keeps me organized and the ability to get my email wherever I'm at is priceless.
I use it as a voice recorder when I get a song idea and sometimes key in some lyrics with the keyboard.
Haha I've even recorded some voicmail messages through the speakerphone for the intro to a power/pop/punk break up song for a client.

My old phone had a guitar tuner in it that I never used.

I have never used my phone for production purposes, and i don't know anyone else besides you who ever has.

lol.. well I'm gonna start a trend.
You guys seriously dont use a smartphone to keep everything in order?

I guess its a little different for me... I'm in two touring bands plus recording when I'm home so I need to communicate as much as possible where ever I'm at.

Honestly, I avoid the phone. It's an interruption. If I need to keep track of stuff, there's email, paper and web forums. Seriously. I just don't need one to survive. I LIKE being separated from people and technology.

I don't own a cell phone and I hope never to.

That was me . . . until I got a family of my own.  Then a business of my own.  Now, I use my handy little smartphone (Blackberry Pearl from T-Mobile, by the way), to keep me organized and check my email.

I also use it as a storage device to transport the audio files for the Life-Changing Christian Centers International podcast, which I produce, from the church to my state-of-the-art home production studio (i.e. a PC, two mics, and a small mixing console).

I'm on the phone all day to my staff in Toronto. And by phone I mean Skype.
Zing.

For cell phone, I have a basic Nokia 1600. Hardly use it, but it was so cheap and prepaid is incredibly cheap here. No reason why not.

Yeah, prepaid seems to be cheap just about everywhere but here.  In Africa that's all they use.
