For those who have been following my situation, you that back in January I had neck surgery to remove cancer from my right side. During the surgery, the doctor had to do quite a bit of damage to nerve endings and other muscle tissue to remove the cancer. Aside from my shoulder and neck always feeling a bit tight and slightly sore constantly, a major side affect from the surgery is my parotid gland (aka salivary gland) on the right side of my face works overtime to produce saliva when I eat and drink.

What this means is the muscles contract (or whatever they do to push out saliva) really, really hard causing me unbearable pain every time I take a bite of any food. Eventually, the pain dies down a bit so I can get through my meal, but for the first ten minutes or so I am cringing and wincing with every bite, begging God to take the pain away. It literally pisses me off. I can't take this anymore and I really need God to perform a miracle in my life.

My doctor doesn't have any solutions to heal this. He says to massage the area daily and suck on sour candy to make it produce saliva before I start eating. Massaging it does NO GOOD and sour candy just sends me into tears.

I need help.

Not as bad as pain when eating food. 

that's awful about your situation with eating. Can't imagine. I do have issues of my own that I don't want to go into here but nothing like what you do with your mouth. Praying. It's great having this community of believers here, that I often take for granted.
