I have a new sore spot on the right side of my tongue. This soreness is very similar to the sore spot that was on the left side that ended up being cancer. It started during the radiation, but I just assumed it was soreness from the radiation. Everything else on my tongue that was sore has now healed, but this spot keeps hurting, especially when I have to  move my tongue to eat.

I am scared.

Good news...for now. The doctor looked at it today and said it doesn't look the same as the cancer I had. He thinks it might just be irritation from the radiation plus the fact that the spot keeps rubbing against my teeth when I (try to) eat. He is putting me on antibiotics to see if that clears it up. If it doesn't get better withing a few weeks, he will biopsy it and make plans for surgery.

Just finished the antibiotics today. My tongue is nowhere as sore as it was a week ago. The meds are definitely doing their job. Hopefully it will be completely healed soon.

Glad things are improving for you, Chris. I haven't been posting, but I have been continuing to pray.

Funny tangent: This thread was right above stephen's "Equipment" thread. When I first looked, I read the subject of this thread as "Please pray for my Equipment". I thought, "Wow, now poor Chris is having 'guy issues'." laugh
