You dont make friends with salad!

« on: April 25, 2008, 11:05:43 PM »

Hey guys,

Just got a text from a friend who was at a Starfield concert tonight in Vancouver and she said that something bad happened. Thats all i heard from her but then i got 2 more texts from other ppl there one saying that speaker systems and lights had fallen into the crowd and hit a bunch of ppl and another saying that the floor under the mosh pit had collapsed. Im not really sure what to think but if you guys could pray fro everyone that was at the show that would be great.

I will post more info when i get it

Thanks
Chris

Ok this is what the news is reporting.

The stage collapsed falling into the corwd crashing right into the mosh pit. There reporting that the area is in complete chaos right now and ppl that were there are saying that its possible people could have been killed...

Seems like there were no serious injuries: http://www.bclocalnews.com/news/18243769.html

Starfield are on a "big" tour right now. They'll be playing at "my" church in Toronto in a few weeks.

yeap it turned out a lot better than it was sounding at the time. 2 of my friends fell into the hole that formed when the floor collapsed but only one was hurt. She had to get some stiches but im not sure how many. One of my frieneds friends fell through the whole and broke both legs which really sucks.

Ok guys sry for the lateness on this. There was only 2 serious injury's from the accident and only one person remains in hospital. Please pray for the women still in hospital, it looks like she may never walk again at the moment and is still in a coma (last i heard a few days ago).

Here is a news report from the day after if anyone is intrested, there is actual footage of the collapse (you can see one of my friends at the front stop a speakers falling into the hole and crushing people) http://video.msn.com/video.aspx/?mkt=en-ca&brand=sympatico&vid=e65f8383-db4f-4626-9813-ada6be297468&from=rss37&wa=wsignin1.0

Praying for the poor lady who is still in the hospital.
