« on: April 24, 2008, 07:49:29 AM »

It’s April 2008 and we’re starting to count down the days until the next Cornerstone Music Festival (www.cornerstonefestival.com). This month, we have the Afterhours EDM stage (www.tastyfresh.com/afterhours) festival opener Deeflash. We also have New Zealander Tim Richards who’s music can be seen at the top of the tech house charts and is supported by Sasha, Pete Tong and many, many others. You can also catch him Thursdays on George FM (www.georgefm.co.nz).

Here's all the rest of the info.

Download by hitting the subscribe button on that page or subscribe by hitting that same button. You can also grab it in iTunes via the iTunes button. Have fun. It's a great show this time.

Nice episode.
Deeflash, your set was pretty sweet. Nice tracks throughout, I would have liked a tiny bit more layering though, I thought it was a bit sparse in parts.
Tim Richards, great stuff! Proud of the New Zealand brothers.

My only beef is my constant shiloh one. Nobody can drop a shiloh track into a set w/o it standing out way WAY too much from everything else. I talked to Oneel about it and honestly, he's saying about the only way it works is if you know you want to play a shiloh track and you play 2-3 songs prior to it just to get the stage set right. If you don't do it, it's not gonna fit in very well.

yeah I kinda agree... that's why I looped the drums for about a minute before I started the track :-)

In what sense would you say it's a beef? Do you wish Shiloh tracks didn't stick out, or would you rather the track not be in this mix?

I think he just means that shiloh tracks are very well produced and have a very full sound compared to other tracks so it's hard to go from a Shiloh track to another track without it being obvious... either that or he listens to shiloh so much that he is like, "shiloh. eh." :-)

Not really. Shiloh's sound is so unique that their stuff ALWAYS stands out. It's not just a quality factor. They guys get the position and rep they deserve, but their music is so obviously them it's not funny. Every other track in just about every set that contains a Shiloh track can somehow remain anonymous, but then as soon as a Shiloh track comes on, everybody knows whose it is.
