I'm trying to figure out what brand and model Tiesto's yellow/black headphones are. I know he says he uses Stanton but those aren't it, and supposedly they are decibel reducing as well. It's a mystery......Or maybe I'm stupid  laugh

yeah, their gold, not yellow, I have some. Not in that picture as you can see but times past I've seen him with some Stanton 2000s.

He's Tiesto. Do you really think he'd use off the rack ones? Do you really think Stanton wouldn't mod a pair for him or that he wouldn't have them modded?

Paint over the silver. Add a yellow label. Done.

Maybe he wears attenuating ear-plugs and then uses headphones. I've been considering that for a while, to save my hearing.

But yeah, I'm sure he gets customs.

if your playing out alot, attenuating plugs are absolutely necessary. im not playing out much, and im putting abit of cash away each payday for them.

Have you ever tried them before? I've only read great things, but have never actually worn a pair. I love the idea of being to DJ with them in.

i havnt used em personally. but i friend of mine had a $200 pair when he was a drummer in a band. he loved em.
you really need to look at sound levels and the damage it does. i think i heard 87db for me then 2 hours at a time can cause damage. a dj booth is alot louder then that, easily.

The headphones you see in that pic are an older pair of Stanton DJ-Pro-2000 headphones.  They used to be yellow instead of silver...My old pair are the yellow ones.  They're the best headphone you'll ever use,  hands down.  Also the most durable.

Fatboy Slim also uses Stanton headphones.

What about Pioneer? I have a pair of HDJ 1000's and I love them! Durable, flexible and comfortable.

Dunno about durable, unless they've managed to improve the construction in the past few years. I had a pair that I had to get replaced twice while still under warranty because they broke.
