Yes on beatport about the equipment of  the Digweed and Sasha tour
http://www.beatportal.com/feed/item/sasha-and-john-digweeds-dj-set-up/

Interesting to know that sasha has to still beat match to mix into the end of Johns sets.

Ive always just faded in!

Also his maven controller blew up! And his laptop crashed!

There's been an ableton plugin for sometime for pitch bending. It's built in with 7 so yeah... no biggie for Sasha.

Dave who?

k... so honestly, has everyone pretty much stopped beat matching? That seems to be what I'm hearing, with this new wave of digital wizardry. Out with the beat matching. Wha?

it's foolish to think that's the only way you can be a real dj. Esp when radio guys never do it.

Thats my point read the article!
We focus on the beat matching side and forget theres more to djing than just the beat matching

Besides as the article points out sasha cant be accused of not having beat matching skills
he was always known for such smooth mixing!

beatmatching has always been the easy part of djing. lets be honest. anyone with some musical ability and practice can do it.
djing about understanding the dynamics of the crowd and keep them dancing. which takes alot more then just being able to beatmatch.

True true! You're all right, I'm not downplaying the importance of the other aspects of DJing.

But beat matching has been like a right of passage, for years. It's just a bit odd to think of that being removed.

Odd maybe but it just means we are moving onto other rights of passage. Not everyone wants to spend hours configuring their set up or warping their tracks.

It still takes dedication
