I'm assuming some of you have heard two of the mixes on Carey's show, but here goes…
The Camel Rider mixes (128bpm) are pretty close to the original. Fairly housey and laid back.
The Giuseppe Ottaviani mixes (135bpm) are what I'd call dark trance. A lot faster, very driving. Most of the verses are vocoded. There are breaks where the chorus comes in and it sounds very pretty, like the original, then it goes back into the driving bits. There are no big, soaring detuned lead synths on this, thankfully.
The Phonat mix (128bpm) is I guess some kind of electro-house. The bassline slips around all over the place and he puts lots of weird effects on the vocals. The vocals are chopped up; little vocal sounds repeat over and over. Some bits are deliberately out of tune. At one point, the piano reappears and it sounds normal, and then goes back to the weirdness. It's very odd-sounding, and might work for some adventurous electro or house DJs.
