They aren't having the same visions, just the same TYPE of visions Wink

The visions are too specific and too similar just to be a coincidence.

If just one of them were having them, ok, maybe it's just because they are crazy, but both of them having such similar visions?

There is also no indication that either 6 or Baltar know what their "invisible" counterparts have said.

Just the fact that there are more than one of them, and that more than one person is seeing them, shows there is more going on than just Baltar being crazy.

I never said otherwise. Seriously. It could all be related to the nuclear blast of Caprica for example. Regardless, they're both nuts and it's in their heads.

Nobody said there wasn't a point to him going crazy Wink He still is though.

There's more to it, much like Six, Char, and Roslin all having the same dream.

yeah, he is crazy.

All of this will come together at some point Carey. I just disagree that it's something beyond what's in their heads.

That dream was more like an out of body experience since at least 6 and Roslin knew it was each other in the dream.

In the season 3 episode "Torn" Baltar is walking on a Cylon base star with Six, and asks if they are walking in circles.

She explains that to him it probably seems that way because everything looks the same to him, but that she was "projecting."

When he asks what that is, she compares it to a daydream.

She explained that she enjoyed the aesthetics of a forest, so that's the environment she chose to be in, and that she was seeing herself in a forest, and was surrounded by trees and wildlife, not the cold walls of a base star.

Then Baltar's "head" 6 joins in the conversation, but only with him of course.

He notes how similar his "head" episodes with 6 are to what the real 6 is describing as projecting.

"head" 6 agrees.

This scares him and he yells out "AM I A CYLON??!!"

Real 6 turns around shocked saying, "WHAT was that??"

Baltar says, "oh, nothing, just mumbling."

That was the whole episode where he fixated on whether he was a Cylon or not.

I don't think he is, but maybe some cylon "projecting" is going on somehow, and maybe they can project to him even though he is a human, in the same way Roslin could be in the dream even though she was a human.

That would be in their heads, like you think.

The only thing that still doesn't jive is that "head" 6 seems to be prophetic.

A lot of things she predicts you could assume Baltar already deduced somehow by reading people or paying attention to details, and argue that it wasn't really prophecy, but just him noticing things and his mind using 6 to predict what was obvious anyway.

There are some things she predicts though, that I don't see how he could know.

For instance she told Baltar the Cylon baby was coming before Sharon and Tyrol had it.

How would he know that?

I was just funnin ya!  smiley8

I think their projecting is a little different then our daydreaming anyway.

Also, reality usually jars you from daydreaming, but in Baltar's case, whatever it is he's doing seems to be mixing with reality.

One thing I do find a little hard to swallow is why more people in the show don't outright say that Baltar is insane. Plenty of people have walked in him having "moments"... I think there should be more "OK, what's the deal with Baltar?" conversations... aside from people just hating on him.

It's b/c...

1) He's brilliant... so he's strange by default.
2) He's charismatic... so he's strange by default.
