So no TC for you, Dave?

No. Not at all.

I'm using the Zero (keyless version) of the SL.  It's a simple set up, but it does what I want to do at this point in my life.

It looks like a great tool for house or trance DJs--or any other DJs whose physical contact with the record or jog wheel is limited to pitch bending.

well, so far besides that one goof I had a while back, the Xponent really stands up to alot of button mashing. It does exactly what I want it to do, plus, whenever I get my comp upgrade, I'll be able to run Traktor with it in no time.

It's a very versatile lil contraption, thus, It'll be easier for me to use it for blending in different genres as well.

I really wanna get back into music production, I mean, I have a few projects on hold right now, cause Im still working to get that upgrade. Let's hope I don't go completely deaf before I can finish working on them.

Anyone using the total control?  I like the look of the VCI-100 better, but to me it seems controllers are really going to increase in ability and function, so I might get the total control for a while until something superb hits the market.  I was just curious how it works overtime some of these cheap units scare me as far as lasting quailty. ??

I played with both in the store. I like the TC better. Besides... how can you justify doubling the cost when there's not sound card?

Yeah really it would be great to have the soundcard with it.  Wasn't NI coming out with something soon?  Maybe TC it is for now...

metal case is part of it im sure. the next part is the name.
after looking at it... the TC has more knobs, looks like more buttons. i picked up a simple 10keypad from target (20 bucks) and that is an additional 19 buttons (not including using the hotkey page functions)

deeflash will have is at ctsone im sure, and if im there ill have mine. you can play with mine til your hearts content and im sure deeflash will let you check his out.

so after seeing everyone's setup at Cornerstone, what controller is taking the lead?

Of the two jog wheel controllers, who's reign supreme? As far as ruggedness, build, control and quality?

controllers are highly personal. whats right for one, is completely wrong for another. after playing around with the vci, i dont know if i could use it full time. im sort of OCD and its not symmetrical...
