MOTU Ultralite and firewire card for laptop...

So I bought a MOTU Ultralite, but my laptop doesn't have a firewire port, so I was wondering if there was anybody using the Ultralite with a firewire card, and if that works ok? I'm assuming it will work fine, but I'm just curious.

They generally work well, but yeah you need the firewire port
