I don't know if any of you have read Doug's article about this year's generator stage at Cstone, but like last year we need to raise some funds to make it happen. We will make this stage a central hangout during the day for anybody walking by, we will be throwing out some great tunes all day long as well as serving lunch while it lasts. This is an important chance to really promote the action in the barn each night. It's also a great place just to relax.

Even though we have a generator through last year's donations, we have to have a tent and a stage. Jeremy's van isn't going to make it out this year so we will need to rent a tent from the company providing tents for the festival. We'll also need money for the food we plan to cook and give away for free. Then, there's the issue of gas and sound.

Also, for the record, had Jeremy not offered the van last year, our costs would have been well over $2,000. He really did put a lot of time and effort into it and it worked out great. I'll miss the van this year.

All in all, we will need to raise about $1,300 this year. Any cash gathered above what we actually need will go toward other things in the Barn such as decorations not included in the Cstone budget.

So again, we need money for the following:
  • Rental of the tent
  • Materials to build the generator stage
  • Food for the generator stage
  • Promotional materials
  • Gasoline for the generator itself
  • Rental of the sound system for the generator stage

There are two ways to help us get the cash. The first and easiest is to donate via PayPal.com. The second is to buy your tickets through Tastyfresh. The first means more of your money goes directly to this stage. The second means you save 5% on your ticket price and we get about 3% of the ticket sales.

Whatever you feel led to give is fine, but please consider giving and supporting our efforts at Cstone.

You can donate and purchase your tickets on the official Afterhours page.

That reminds me... it's got the wrong link on it. Sad

Thanks for helping. My bad that I didn't get the cash though. Ugh. Need to fix that.

We're officially at $165 and change. That means we're 1/8th of the way to our goal. We're going to have to put in our order for the tent soon so we need to hit at least $400 in the next week or so.

If 57 people chipped in just $20, we'd be set.

Question. I know it will be a bit after the fact, but could I or anyone for that matter, give some cash at the time of the festival? It's been awesome seeing the em culture at the festival go through it's ups and downs, and be what it is today at cstone. Been coming since 1999. The generator stage last year truly was a blessing, and will undoubtedly be this year as well. Thanks for all your hard work guys.

You can give at anytime. We just need to have this amount up front. Any extra will go to cover travel expenses and other needs. Doug is severely UNDER paid this year.
