Ok so heres whats going on, my computer was working just fine, but for awhile my fan runs and then it turns off, its been doing that for awhile. I never thought of it being a problem, I thought it was normal, but anyways, for most of the day today it wouldnt turn on at all. I think the plug socket in the back is messed up, but its a miracle it turned on now. I dont know how long its gonna last on me, but this is scary, I have alot of work to do on my pc, my book is not even completed, the dumb perfect grammar is something I am not good at, and I want to get back into producing. My mom also uses my pc, and long story short I cant have my pc mess up on me now. I still need to find a job so I can get a laptop or something to have as a backup, one of my good friends is going to look at my pc again, and help me out, so thats a G-d send, and blessed to know someone whos a genius at this kind of stuff. Anyways, please keep this in your prayers, I will be helping my mom too on this computer once she opens her own cleaning buisness and I as stated before, this pc cant fail on me now. Thanks everyone.  hug

you talk about the fan then mention the plug socket.  Is it the fan on the back near the socket?  If so, do what 404 said, replace the power supply and should be fine.  Your friend if he knows a good bit should be able to replace it.  The power supply has multiple connections inside the case, once those are unplugged, the power supple unscrews and comes out.

Cry My pc still hasnt been fixed, it was supposed 2 b fixed this weekend, but something came up and my friend wasnt able to come, this really sucks. Please keep praying that my pc gets fixed by this week, i got alot of stuff i need to do still and i need to have patience kause its driving me mad, i am ok, but its just like another reminder why i need a job more than ever so i kan be more independant + i need to get my drivers license things could be alot worse but i am just trying to keep my sanity from going astray because theres nothing to do, until i am able to work which is another reason why i need my pc running theres some online job opportunities for me but w/o my own computer i am pretty much out of luck. hopefully by next weekend i will be online again and from home.Any updates i will post until thankz again 4 all ur prayers. hug hug hug

Being without a computer can be brutal. I was off and on throughout college and didn't live on campus, so i had to get up early to make the halfhour commute, nothing compared to my 45 min commute to work now though. But had to get there at like 7am. But praying for you man, sounds like so many others, but God will provide Smiley

It could also be the power switch.

Power supply is still top suspect.  Probably not thermal.
