God is so good! Thank you all for your prayers. Something amazing happened this week.

I got the job at Microsoft I interviewed for!

So I had a LOT of people praying for me and that day of interviews that I had. It was on tuesday this week, and I had 7 interviews that day. I was expecting them to be extremely tough and they turned out to be the smoothest set of interviews I have ever had. It was crazy. The entire day, throughout every interview, it felt like I was totally at peace and surrounded by God's presence. It felt like God was steering the interview in the right direction. It felt like I was a contestant on a gameshow that I knew ALL of the answers to. Wow.... so anyway, typically it takes up to 10 days for them to get back to you to make their decision.

Less then 24 hours after my interview..... the recruiter called me back and gave me the job offer. She said it was the easiest hiring decision they have had in a LONG time, because everyone on the team (that i met) loved me and are extremely excited to offer me the position.

the offer details were crazy.... it was like almost double the annual salary that I make now, along with amazing benefits.... and an awesome team to work with.

God has blessed me so much to have this opportunity. I am going to seriously work incredibly hard and have a great time. I am blown away by how much God has done for me here. I seriously can't take any of the credit for this.

I wanted to thank all of you that prayed. seriously this was awesome. I should be starting there in the next few weeks.

That's totally great! I remember praying for you I think on this.  That's an awesome report thanks for sharing.  I too just got hired on as a full time employee for the City of Austin and they have great benefits too.  I was a temporary for about 15 months and then they finally hired me full time. Praise be to God.  I am glad that you will have such gainful employement and that you can recongnize God's hand in your life.  Amen.   Cool

Sweet...now fix Vista Wink

That'd be more than any one man (or small nation) could do. laugh

Not to turn this into a Vista-hating thread, but I do have to say that, while I've dreaded every Windows upgrade,  Vista is the first version of Windows that I haven't thought was an improvement over its predecessor. I really thought I was going to hate XP, but once I got used to it, I loved it. Vista irritates me more the more I use it.

Anyway.... Congrats, keith!

hahah yeah i am definately not a software developer. i work in the hardware operations and deployment side of microsoft, where i manage the hardware assets of people who are software developers and engineers.

WOW!!! Awesome. Now... you do realize that you're working for the devil right??? Wink

I always laugh about stuff like that, but when it came down to it, i think working for microsoft will be a wonderful thing... especially the team that i will be working for is awesome and the people are great. the software products that they work on are pretty cool.

Yeah, I am about the only person I knew who actually liked ME. Not sure if I just got lucky or what, but it's always been really stable for me. In fact, I still have 2 older PCs that are running it. The 350MHz one has started to need rebooted occasionally (I leave it up all the time cuz it's the one with the shared printer attached), but that's pretty hardware-related since it's a recent development.
