lol, i know what you're going on about.. even if no one else does.

I meant to say diameter, not circumfernce. That would of been silly

you mean perimeter....Huh this isn't geometry.

No Daniel, not perimiter. Cause A) a circle does not have a perimiter, it has a circumfrence. B) I did not go around the entire outskirts of Cornerstone, I went across it's DIAMETER, or *maybe* it was closer to a radius.

I sound like a nerd

**CORRECTION**
a. circles are round - they do not have corners.
b. it would be hypocritical to have a Cornerstone festival in a circle.
c. shapes with corners are not circles.

I hope that clears things up for you guys... I'm glad I learnt geometry in an English school, you Americans have it all wrong!

Though the generator stage sounds awesome, I don't know if I should play or not. I'm afraid I might blow out a speaker...lol

and besides, I know I didn't get picked for afterhours, because I had one bad transition.
There could be many other factors that come into play, one being that I never heard of a DnB DJ getting booked at CS before, and...well...I never been to CS before.

All in all, I still want to come out.

D&B has had a pretty rich past actually: Ashley of Evol Intent, J.Davis aka Faith Massive and Lovetree are just a few who have played. The crowd though is more into house and techno though. We're seriously considering doing a night of it next year... maybe.

I don't think one bad transition would kill you on your demo. We're looking beyond that to things like past gigs, how active you are in this community, how well known you are outside of TF, have you ever played cstone before and when. There's really a long list of factors that even I haven't completely written down.

Then there's the ultimate one: If you are active in the secular scene and you want to play Cstone and get more connected with Christians who love dance music, you get priority.

This year, we have 2 people in our line-up that fit this bill and that changed a LOT of what we wanted to do.

As far as the gen stage: The sound will be provided by harmony and they'll probably put a limiter on the system just b/c of ppl like you.

I can tell you one thing about the generator stage....

If you want to play Afterhours next year; it is going to be a good place to audition.  You will be DJing in front of the judges who determine next years lineup.  If you want to play next year...about the best place to show them what you really got is to impress us live and in person.

If you can Dj on a dusty road and rock out in front the passerbyers, then you are probably going to have what it takes to do Afterhours.  This is not the only way to get booked, but heck..impress us.  Cornerstone's dance stage is so interesting to me as it is probably the festival's most unknown artist stage.  The barn, as it was once known has a sense to the people who show up to dance as... who is the guy spinning...ahhhhh who cares... do I like the music.  It is the judges responsiblility to provide that music thru selecting the proper music-selectors; ie DJs.

I would love to see a DJ take this as a challenge and impress ME personally.  I personally would look harder at YOU next year if you PERSONALLY rock my socks off (I will not be wearing socks all week), but seriously take this as a challenge.
