Spent 6 hours on a mix only to throw it away!

Yes this is a prayer request.
I have a very important mixset due in about a week. It's kinda a big deal to me because it may make or break my image as a DJ to many outside Tastyfresh. I have spent the last 3 months gathering tracks and really focusing on what I want a newbie to know about me in a one hour set. So today I finally take the time to go through all these recent tracks and give them all a good listen for quality, content, and if it is something that really moves me. Basically, "is this a track that dj404 would play out?"
I spent 4 hours bringing my selections down to about 30 tracks. Not all will fit in this one hour set, but it gives me something to work with. I kinda plan out my first 2 or 3 moves and then just go from there since I am good with every track I selected. I spend the next hour and 10 minutes recording, taking time to really get each transition solid, even redoing them if needed. After the mix is done, I spend the next hour tweaking with levels, editing out bad transitions and leaving the best do-over, and giving this mix a nice solid finish.
(Before I go any further you must know that the computer I recorded my mix on has a wierd outbound soundcard glitch, causing PLAYBACK audio to sound scratchy. I don't know why and no computer tech that has looked at it can figure it out.)
During my editing phase I hear the usual scratchy audio off the soundcard and assume it's only the playback and I just work my way through the annoying audio. I save the mix as WAV and 320kmp3 and burn it to CD just to be sure I have the best possible source to distribute this mix. I take the CD out, pop it in my sound system, hit play and then my heart sank! That scratchy audio has now somehow crossed over to the recording! It is no longer just on playback, it is now on the line-in. This is a first time incident.
My mix that I just spent the last 3 months and 6 hours on was destroyed. I had to delete the files and throw away the CD.
Here is the prayer request: I will give the mix another shot tomorrow and record it on my laptop. Please pray that it goes well so I don't have to spend as much time in post production.

Don't take this the wrong way:
It's a mix. Just one mix. That's it. It's the same as any other mix done by you or others. It's neither going to make you or break you. It just isn't. I understand what your hopes are, but it's still just a mix. Don't loose sight of that.

After thinking about this, ultimately I was not happy with the track order anyway. I am gonna redo the mix tonight, but I will do three things differently.
1. Record on my laptop
2. Allow my instinct to choose the order
3. Not be so concerned with perfection to the point that it becomes a homework assignment and sucks all the joy out.
This new mix will be much better. It will have a lot of the same tracks, but this will rock so much harder. I record tonight. I MIGHT sneak a live stream to CTF, but I can't say when.

If mixing ever becomes homework... it's time to stop.

Prayed!
Audio glitches are a pain, I definitely feel you on that bro. Have fun!
And, well, you should let us know, I'd definitely tune in!
