so, what setups were used this year at Cornerstone?

were they mostly laptop and controllers?  Saw Stryke was using Traktor and vinyl control.

just to show what traktor has to offer i believe grandmaster flash is a convert from serato.
he did help rane with the empath, so that should tell you something if he's worked with rane on projects and uses someone else's gear when rane has something equivalent to it (i think he still uses control records, too old school).
i'm a serato guy, had it for awhile, and i'm even leaning towards traktor for at least internal self contained stuff, no external mixer really needed.
just some food for thought....

here's a good video and more importantly, the comments that people post on their opinions and experience with all the programs out on the market.  I haven't even began to listen or read, but I thought this might be helpful for someone wanting to go PC or upgrade.

For the record, I do not regret going with Traktor. It is a good program, I just wish I was as experienced as many of you in setting it up. The problem is me, not the software.

It's not you or the software. If you can set up and run Joomla, you can handle traktor. The truth is that you probably have the wrong controller. That BCD series just doesn't seem to have a decent sound card built in and that's where all the problems come from I think.

I'm having no problems with my ghetto-fabulous ASIO4ALL setup.

But it clearly sucks.

What part of screwed up don't you understand??? Juryrigged gear should NEVER be considered high tech.
