I'm definitely interested in Numark's Total Control. Yet, everywhere I look, no one seems to have pictures of the back of the thing. I've tested CUE, and Like it alot!(except for the auto sync feature  Cheesy )

Test Traktor's auto sync. You'll like it.

Ask Alex W. to take a photo of the back for you. He's got one.

Thank you Alex for the pic!  Cool

so, this thing is only a controller, no audio engine, eh?
So that means, id still have to either run it out of my sound card or get an audio interface of some sort... for like my headphones...lol

Indeed, numark create the DJio, for about £15 i believe. This is the current set up i use for uni house partys as wanted sumit real portable.. hooked up2 Macbook Pro.

Only problem I have found with the DJio is that is has 2 out puts, however it seems I can have one main out.. the other will only be used for Headphones, even though it has an independent headphone output.

I also find that the headphones are far to quiet. I currently use a set of Technics Headphones an now from usin them with my numark mixer with axis9 decks. or technics turntables the volume is much louder.

I talked to M-audio about a similar problem with my fasttrack pro. There just isn't enough power in that audio card to provide the necessary juice to power the headphones in a club setting. They said I needed to add an ac adapter to it. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm learning to not trust any usb gear in a live setting w/o it's own power source.

Thanks Dave, both units come with a power adapter.. so will jus hav to try work out from the many adapters i do have. Will let you know if it does make any difference, if i work out which it is.

yea, the TC is just a contoller. but its is REALLY nice. i havnt used the vestax yet, but i compared it with the behringer when i was at sam ash and the TC wins hand over fist. build quality and layout are much better (even thought its plastic.. eh..still ok for me) hopefully ill be able to show it off at cstone if i can make it.

http://www.djtechtools.com/?p=214

check that on soundcards. i was abit bummed. io got last pretty much.
on the volume, i must have really sensitive ears or something because half valume is just about as much as i can take from the IO. its been a while since ive been able to get into a club, but i find it hard to think the IO would have difficulty putting enough power to deal with it.

I think it has more to do with what power your laptop can feed the sound card. Some can give more than others. The IO might be find on yours, but not mine for example.

Has anyone ever tested the BCD3000? This one looks like all I'll ever need.

I cant say I have tried it. But i would not neccessarily recommend behringer for actual DJ kit. I have used their speakers (pair of B300 actives, when doin some house parties an pubs an stuff - very nice)... but for £50 more the numark Total Control unit.. which was voted best midi controller, comes with traktor lite and numarks cue lite.

Deeflash, 404, Godlovesmaggots all have been using the BCD2000. My concern would be the sound card. It's probably not the best.

Total Control will be worth the cash if you can save up the spare change. At least Numark is better know for DJ gear and isn't associated with crap as Behringer sometimes is.
