if it is on par with the rest of the stuff i buy. sure. i was listening to pete le freq's remix of purety by dj ru and its quality and right up my alley. my problem is that either not many christians are making quality stuff that i would play or im just ignorant and havnt found it yet...
if it makes me dance, ill either buy it, or put it on my list of future purchases.

As long as the music's worth listening to, I'm willing to buy it. However, I don't buy into the argument I've heard before of "you gotta buy it cuz it's Christian, even if it sucks".

We're not over complicating it.
Does the market still exist? No.
Proof: we have between one and two EDM releases with distribution in the CBA annually and that's pushing it.
If more people bought it, there would be more releases. You can argue that people don't know that it exists so that's why there aren't more releases and I'll say that's more proof.

I was simply asking is there still people who are willing to buy Dance music released from a Christian label.
You and Dave are WAY over complicating my question.
I'll just stick to the question this time:
I'm with Doug on this one. To be real honest.... Of the top of my head, I don't even know any christian labels apart from Deepsink.

deeplife. That's about it now. In fact, given the release schedules... it's just deeplife.

I agree with Doug and will add from what I have observed so far dance music itself is a small market compared to hip-hop or rock. So, Christian dance music would be a niche market of a small market. Are people WILLING to buy music from a Christian label? Sure. Are there enough buyers? That might be a different question.

When it comes to music of course my first response would be to buy something other than Christian EDM, for 3 reasons.
1) There are no if any little chance of finding soundclips for what I am looking for.
2) They're just too much for me right now, I am not able to afford them right now atm.
3) The best ones aside from Deeplife records, are out of the country, and that makes it more difficult, because I dont have a credit card, and I know the Osmotic comps are great, if I had the money I would purchase them because theyre not watered down Christian EDM. They make alot of the Secular EDM pale in comparison.
Lets face it, theres not enough exposure for those Artists who make the music, also another thing, especially DJ's were not to be in competition with each other, were supposed to work together. This what I mean, if your looking for a way to get your music out to the ppl, send promos out make a package or something. I like to play Karl Forde & Gerald Debois, Coretex, Prophetica, Reborn & Christian Padararu along side JH3's Amino Cell (Club mix). I dont have to play them, I play them because the music is good and it edifys me, and did I forget to mention the music is great?
Oh and DJ Ru & Drew,N-Vision,Transflow, also have some pretty cool tracks too which I have also played on the show as well. If there is no demand or w/e for Christian EDM, then lets create it by working together anyway that we can. The Apostle didnt always do stuff by himself he had Timothy and someone else I forgot his name to preach the Gospel, so we can do the same thing but with music. Its not about money its about souls and building the Kingdom.I am open to anyone here who makes music and wants to have ppl hear it, pm me, and send me a d/l link and I will play it in my show. Well thats all I have to say for now, hope that helps.

I remember when NSoul and MYX was around. The music got shelved with hip-hop and was a small, very small space. Honestly, there is not enough marketing to know that it exists. For me , I knew where it existed and I knew where to find it. For example if more people found put about Tastyfresh then more people would be finding out about the great EDM that is out there. When I play out people are shocked to hear some of the remixes I play (ex: Let it Rain/Gerwin remix, Sozo remix of Mercy Me).
I thinks its about education and marketing.

I'll buy it when available, but its not a major concern, I just play whatever is good and vox are clean.

Brian summed alot up here:
Scroggins believes that with the slow acceptance of dance music in the church, the scene needs to cast its net outward. “Let’s be honest, the place that people need to be, as long as they’ve got prayer support, is out in the world.
Any Christian who wants to be sheltered and make dance music just for Christians is kidding himself.” One of the shortcomings of the Christian scene was that it was trying to create a subculture that would bring people in and foster a bubble protecting its participants from the perceived ills of the rave scene while many times there were worse things going on inside the Church.
“A new day is dawning,” Scroggins claims, “people are being more prepared for ministry than for edifying believers by getting music into Christian bookstores.” Scroggins sees resurgence in the scene and hopes that God will raise up people to be an effective witness and make quality music in the name of Christ. “There are a few of us, but it’s the tip of the iceberg. A lot of the old timers who had their hearts in the music for the right reasons are going take the scene by storm and be effective.”
food for thought.

Bottom line? There needs to be more quality music and advertisement. Building a fan base isn't hard as most make it out to be... Word needs to be spread by any medium necessary. Hype definitely brings more attention. I learned from Dunamis that quality draws more attention than melody alone. We work together, learn from each other, thats what fellowship is about. If we as TFers want to see more of a market for Christian EDM, I believe that there will be more artists this year than the past few. Help artists anyway we can. The more artists, The more music.
