I played for 16 hours once.  It was in a store at the Riverchase Galleria here in Birmingham,  and it was the day after Thanksgiving.  This was before the days of Ableton,  and really before CDs got really popular....The CDJ-1000 had JUST come out.  You can imagine how much vinyl I had to carry with me.

When I first started DJing,  these 1 hour sets like you see today just didn't happen...Most sets were of the 3 hour variety.  It wasn't a big deal to play for 5 or 6 hours.

Hearing some of today's DJs play extended sets,  it makes me think about that because they typically don't know how to pace themselves...They come blowing out the door and try to keep the same blistering pace,  but it just doesn't work that way.

There are two flavors of music, good and bad.  However, the musical pallete's of various people are infinite.
