« on: February 01, 2008, 05:03:14 PM »

And... that's it. Thanks for submitting. We'll be contacting everyone soon if we are interested in booking you for either the generator or the official stage.

The line-up will be announced in the next issue of the zine as well as the podcast.

We're taking demos from now until Feb 29th. Information and application can be found here.

We would love to see everyone submit a demo. Those demos not selected for the official Afterhours stage (the Barn) will be considered for the unofficial generator stage (Tastyfresh Satellite Systems). Just as a side note: We haven't even started looking for talent on that stage yet.

Headliners for the Barn will be announced on the February podcast with the full line-up in the March/April issue of the magazine.

You won't want to miss this year.

Again... SEND IN YOUR DEMO PACKAGE.

there have been a few years at cornerstone that there was hardly any demos received because of a fear of not getting the gig.  Seriously.  Turn in a proper rockin demo and go for it.  I would love to see 30-40 submissions this year.  Do not not submit cause you are worried about the competition or whatever.  Go For It

Peoria gets you a pick-up from the fest. St. Louis... yer renting a car. It's a 4 hour trip.

Please ensure that you follow the instructions for sending in a demo package. They are clearly posted on the submission page. I'll post them here as well.

Quote
    *  An hour-long DJ mix or Live PA recording in MP3 format (96kbps – 192kbps)
    * A “head” shot
    * A bio (No longer than 1 page.)
    * A short statement of belief or a short version your testimony (No longer than 1 page.)
    * A statement of why you would like to perform at Cornerstone would be nice, but not required (No longer than 1 page.)
    * Most importantly… you must include contact information

These items must be delivered in a single zip file through the provided form.

So far... we've had 2 submissions and neither one followed the directions.

I'll try to get one in this year.

Four headliners booked, one opener booked, three headliners left... any hints on genre or style?

I know you probably can't announce the headliners yet, but on the assumption that you'll want the openers' styles to be relatively close to the headliner's, can you give us any hints on what you're looking for?

I'd hate to make a happy ambient terrorcore mix only to find out all three headliners are busting out their special cache of dark 80's dirty south.  Wink

I'm planning to announce the headliners in the next podcast with the full line-up in the following zine. At least that's the plan now.

Also, don't assume those opening slots are spread throughout the week. Friday, we only have one act. Wed is a "special" themed night. Not wacked out dress-up theme. Just a theme.
