We're starting our live act and we need an USB MIDI controler... wich one is the best?
Please, answer this 'cause we're going to buy it today.

can't really compare the two honestly...They're totally different.
The ReMote Zero is more of a knobs and sliders controller. Good for emulating a mixer.
The TriggerFinger is pads with four sliders. Better for triggering samples.
My personal choice? Evolution UC-33e with a trigger finger. Would cost about as much as a remote zero

The problem is we don't find Evolution UC-33e here in brazil, and they don't fabricate this anymore. But you're tip is awesome... I think I'm gonna get the Trigger Finger

I have both. The trigger finger is for triggering and can work as a simple dj mixer. The Remote does a LOT more, but is built for tweaking parameters over triggering events.
In the end, I think you will need 2 things and not one. Oneel's got the right idea with his. I might still consider getting 2 of those for a live pa. I'd use each one as a separate turntable and the TF as a dj mixer. The Remote SL would then act as an FX controller for the whole setup. It's a bit of overkill, but it would be nice.

Hey, what's going to be the heart of your system? Ableton?

The remote sl's automap template for ableton has a "magic" button. It's set up to play the next scene in session mode with one press of that button. You literally could trigger 100s of loops at once with that button. Once I found that, I was set... and bored at the same time. In the end, it was a major lifesaver for me.

I would def recommend the Remote Zero over the Trigger finger ... I have the trigger finger and it was not enough controls.. .I had to use the BCR2000 w/ it for enough controls...
