Especially after seeing Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. :/
Great Episode! I'm only sad that we have to wait (most likely) another six months before the next season. :\
I couldn't help but feel like I was watching the X-Files though (for the first time in this series) when Ben decided to put on the parka and go down the icy tunnel to 'move the island'. I mean, did you see all the runic and cryptic symbols in those pillars and protrusions? And that big gear he pushed... very 'extra terrestrial' in nature, or how would you explain its origins?
The ancient carvings could've been made by older inhabitants, while (what appears to be) The Islands anchor windlass could've been installed after wards by DHARMA. "Time-Traveling Bunnies"

I'm baffled by Ben at this point. I mean, he knew that Jacob was going to punish him (vanquishing him off the island)...he knew that he had to blow up that 'transporter' to access a secret tunnel?...he knew John would be the next leader... but did he know he'd be transported? to a desert?
Well he knew that he would have to leave and "never be able to come back."
When he landed in Tunisia, he didn't seem too surprised or disoriented for a man who had been propelled through Time and Space.
And that future flash of him in the desert...is it a time shift? If he's able to go find Sayid from that point, did he 'navigate' there on purpose? Was it really ahead in time or just in place?
The Concierge told him it was October of 2005; the 25th if I remember correctly. So it would seem that he had traveled nearly a year forward in time.
Obviously, John Locke will be the major leader now that Jack and Ben are gone...that'll be interesting. How does death tie into this? And funny how Walt told Hurley that Jeremy came to visit, and Jack and Kate referred to him in the same way... I mean they've called him Locke this whole time, how would they even be ABLE to refer to him another way?
They're "being watched."

What I myself am more interested in is how Locke was able to leave The Island and why he was off in the first place, apparently living an outwardly normal life with an assumed name.
Lots to ponder for a few months!

That it is!

Yes! Desmond and Penny are finally reunited! This was my favorite scene for this entire season. Desmond is--at least in my opinion--the
purest character in LOST.
Everything he's done has been an act of self-sacrifice. He has had several opportunities to act for his own happiness at the cost of others but has acted selflessly at every turn.
I truly want him to have a happy ending and if this is it then I'll be pleased.
However, in light of Ben's threat to Charles' daughter, it is likely that we haven't seen the last of them. "See you in another life, Brother."
