About 3 years ago I took a youth group to the Agape Fest in Illinios.  I met artist Eric Timm.  I watched him paint, liked what I saw, talked with him, and took a card.  8 months ago I emailed him asking about Merchant pricing for his artwork, lithographs, clothing, and skateboards.  I also inquired about his "live art" ministry.  Well, back in December we had a guest speaker that is very close to my pastor come to our church.  My pastor usually plans a meal so we can fellowship and pick the brain of the speaker.  I was sharing different things the Lord has put on my heart to do concerning the youth with him.  A few days later he called my pastor and said he has a spiritual son who is going to be at a conference on Feb. 15th & 16th in Cinncinati.  He said he wants him to come stay with my pastor saturday night and do his thing on the 17th.  My pastor told me this guy was a comedian that related well with the youth and wanted me to plan an event around that.  He told me to check him out on the net.  Honestly, I wasn't that interested in a comedian but checked it out.  When I saw that it was Eric Timm the artist that I had emailed like 8 months earlier I jumped out of my chair!  I knew that this is a divine appointment.  I was just talking a week earlier to some owners of a christian coffeehouse about how that I believe that God is wants to move in a fresh way over our area and that I believe that it could start with our youth!

Anyway, Eric Timm is coming to Scottsburg, In. to do the morning service and we will have a youth service in the evening.  I have already spoken to several youth groups and I believe we will have a packed house.  I am also going to have flyers in the art classes of the local school systems.  For the youth event I will set up my lighting and do some DJ led worship.  Please pray for Eric and his wife Danielle.  For all that come to the event.  And for the event in general.  Thanks for putting your faith with mine!

Praise God!  We had an awesome time worshiping the Lord in some cool lighting and with glowsticks! laugh

Three kids made decisions to accept Jesus into their hearts. 20 kids and about 8 adults stepped up confessing sin that has been holding them back in their walk with the Lord!  We were all greatly encouraged in the Lord.  The youth ministers from about 5 different churches want to get together to plan a big evangelistic event for the area!

Two people drift in a lifeboat. One says, "I see an island. Our best chance is to go ashore, build a shelter, and await rescue." The others says, "No, we must go farther out to sea and hope to find the shipping lanes." Unable to agree, the two fight, the lifeboat capsizes, and they drown.

The leadership of the church dug the lights so they are going to stay up!  And my turntables are now a permanent fixture. Wink  I had the worship team come up at the end of my last track and play with me.  I used a beat I made off of Reason.  Everyone liked it.  We will definately be using the tables & lights for youth worship.  Probably the can lights and some occaisonal scratching on Sunday's.  I play trumpet, sing, and play hand drums.  It will just depend on the song.  I am glad to have the freedom to explore different avenues of worship.  PTL!
