in all seriousness.... and i don't mean to be rude, but i need to be honest...

don't ever do this again.

don't ever put out a blanket request in the forum for people to just send you music because you are [too lazy, too poor, don't have enough time] to find your own music.

if you honestly want to be a real DJ, it takes A LOT of time to find music. if you can't devote the time and energy to finding music, then you shouldn't DJ or have a radio show.

making requests like this makes you look un-professional. seriously.

also, if money is the reason, check out the thread in the DJ's subforum about finding music on a budget.

Cool I agree too. I do alot of searching and browsing online to find w/e is that I wanna play on my show and drop in my mix sets. Its not an easy task, but I am a realist and dont expect anyone to hold in my hand in the process, but any helpful hints are always welcomed. The Kaptain Kaffiene show has a small , but faithful listeners, mainly comprised of my own family members. Myself & The Lone Ranger get the word out as much as we can to get people to tune in to the CTF shows, not just ours. Sometimes I spend hours looking for music, most of the time I am unsuccessful but nevertheless, I found some pretty good stuff, and will be playing the new stuff I found in my mixes. Lastly I am not rich either, and I do have to be on a budget when it comes to purchasing music, but if its good music, it will be worth the sacrifice. I am very greatful for the Promos that I receive, the reason why I think I receive them in the first place is because I took the time to work hard at what it is that I do, and found favor too which is even way more important. If you need music dude, you should defintly start looking at the places everyone has suggested, I know I am not that talented, but all I can do is just be the best darn show that I can possibly do, I would suggest you do the same thing, give it a 110% to w/e is that you do.  Wink

ok... i have some advice. if your life is too busy... you need to let go of some things. you need to start making choices and cut some stuff out.

DJing and finding music takes a lot of time. if you don't invest time into it, you are probably not going to get very good at it. this go's for lots of stuff in your life. if you spread your self too thin across a whole bunch of activities, then you won't be REALLY good at everything. cut out some stuff if possible and focus on what's really important to you.

is snowboarding more important? or is becoming an awesome DJ more important to you? maybe spend a little less money on snowboard related expenses if you want to get serious about the DJ thing.

and another thing about money... even though you are 14, there are still things that you can do to make money. even though you are too young to get an actual regular job... you can still pickup random stuff to do for cash. try going around to people in your neighborhood and offering to yardwork for people.... or wash cars.... or help clean their house... anything for some extra cash.

also... if your life is too busy... then maybe just drop DJing at the moment. acknowledge that it's something that you want to do someday... but realizing right now that you don't have the time or the resources do get it done. you need to start making some decisions about your priorities.

again, I can agree with this especially being a person that is jack of all trades.  I've spread myself thin couple of times.  This year I will be focusing on DJing and eventually doing a balancing act of that, producing and helping dad with the business.

Thanks for clearing that up Dunamis, lol that was funny, I do not have 2 acounts, & mikey is alot younger than I am. I def agree with the whole priority thing, as well as a balance between music itself sounds wierd but I need it, infact I am leaning towards more Metal in my leisure time, than I do with EDM. Keith is right mikey, you need to figure out what it is more important to you snowboarding or being a DJ.  Cool

Not sure if I misunderstand but do you mean original music (like that which is our own) or do you mean tracks that we've bought?

If you mean our own, I can send you a couple of promo tracks to play on your show.

All the best with your show.

Mikey,

I hate to say it dude, you're  a cool kid, but seriously. If you are really busy, perhaps doing a show on Cast The Fire needs to be put away for a while. Doing a show takes a LOT of dedication in finding music, coming up with stuff to fill the hours, basically it's work. You need to treat it the same as you would snowboarding.

Great about the snowboarding thing, that's awesome. If you have to make a choice, go for the snowboarding. CTF is not a priority for you.

Pray about it dude.
