They did the same when they got rid of 3 inch disk drives! And everyone was saying why they do that.
But still, if you don't have an Optical Drive, you should
at least
have more than
one
USB port.
Well again for that kind of machine the intention is to do everything wireless. Its meant for super portability

i have a macbook pro with vista and leopard. It's got a Geforce 8600M GT, 2.2x 2 intel duo and 2 gb of ram. It's a fast little buddy. I have no problem doing multi tasking and rendering music super fast, I can play Crysis at Medium quality at 720p at a good frame rate. And its all packed in a sexy 1" shell.

I can understand that. The problem with that kind of logic, in my opinion, is that we have not yet reached the point where
every single
modern device
is
wireless. And I don't believe we will reach that point until we've perfected (what I call) the holy grail of wireless technology, Wireless Charging.
If
I own an iPhone, sure I can sync with a MacBook Air via WiFi but I still would need an available USB connection to charge it when I'm On-The-Go and a Wall Outlet is unavailable.

Almost there man! There's a bunch of startups and even some better established companies bringing products to market in the next few months. It's only going to get better.

720!?!? LoL.
I feel dirty when I play games at less than 1920x1200... Which is better than 1080p.

Ok you guys have to understand that i have a laptop. A 1" laptop, and the fact that it can play Crysis at those settings and a good frame rate is an amazing accomplishment. If i had a Quad Core, dual EVGA Geforce 8800 gts desktop computer of course i could run it at 1920x1200 and not think to turn down the settings. But come on its a 1" laptop!

As do I. I still play at a lower res b/c I'd rather ensure the higher frame rates and other fx than I would to have the higher res. I'm strange that way.

And that's why I do the majority of my gaming on consoles, as I don't have to worry about the hardware anymore. Haven't got the money for a gaming laptop.

There's so much to buy OTHER than video cards. You know... like midi controllers and software.
BTW, so far this year... there hasn't been a game I've really been looking forward too (other than The Force Unleashed).
