i love how everyone that owns an apple product thinks they are really awesome because they own an apple product.

I love how everyone who doesn't own an apple product thinks that everyone who owns an apple product is a self-absorbed douchebag.

so let me re-phrase that.

a LOT of mac people that i know think that. not all. no offense to anyone here. i just like to poke fun at mac people. it's because lots of them are really snooty because they own them. that's all.

EDIT: Oops.... this is actually Keith. I'm just hanging out at brians house and i was accidentally logged in as him and posted this.

Mac is targeting a completely different group of people with this laptop.  its not for power users at all, hence no dvd/cd drive and the processing power of a two year old macbook pro.

we already know that mac has never put much into targeting gamers so its intent is NEVER for that kind of thing, so idiots who use that as a pitfall for this laptop are arguing on the basis of stupid.

and i will never buy this laptop because it would never suit anything i would use it for.

and i typed all this out on a PC.

This is a stupid argument for us to have here. We're a bunch of audio guys. We need sheer processing power beyond thinness and portability. This is great for a writer or a mobile businessperson who needs basic computing power and extreme portability. We are not these people.

I used to be 50/50 on the Mac vs. PC debate. Then Vista came along and you can't buy a new PC laptop without getting Vista on it. My next computer will be a Mac.

i love how all the laptops on the disney networks have this on the back of them:

I love how threads get hijacked.

Amen to that. I just shelled out $200 for XP cos I can't stand having Vista on my 10-month-old laptop any longer. Vista is the Paris Hilton of operating systems - sexy and completely useless to society.
