1.6ghz, 2gb of ram, 80gb hdd?  Welcome to a Dell from 3 years ago, but thinner and white.

there actually are a lot of available windows based ultra portable laptops already out there. most of them are cheaper and faster then the mac. in fact, the mac is actually REALLY LATE in the game of ultra portable laptops. the only real difference is that the mac is more thin then most of the windows based ones.

....or because it works for me.  there are many Windows machines that do in fact rival Macs but then again they are Windows machines so what's the point?

I love how everyone who doesn't own an apple product thinks that everyone who owns an apple product is a self-absorbed douchebag.

My take on the actual issue at hand is

a ) It's WAY too expensive 
b ) It doesn't have a tablet screen 
3 ) I switched to using numbers, rawr 
4 ) I personally think the wedge shape looks kinda goofy 
5 ) I have to ship it off or take it to a "Certified" apple guy to get the battery replaced. 
6 ) It's really, really lite 
7 ) 5 Hour battery Life 
8 ) No optical disk 
9 ) I have to wear a black turtleneck and jeans when i buy one 
J ) Back to letters again 

So while i can appreciate some of the incremental improvements, it's not really that big a deal to me. I'll stick with my MacBook Pro.

Dang, I didn't see that. That's kinda crappy too. The SSD would probably be faster though. Still though, on a PATA channel, that'd still be weak.
