Okay...let us know your plans for the year and how you are gonna get there.

1. List what you want to accomplish
2. How EXACTLY you are going to accomplish it.

Would really like to see some cats step up and go out there and say what they want to do and HOW they are gonna get there.   Don't share that you want more gigs, and you are not a networker and a party goer.  Seriously what do you really want to accomplish.  Want to make more money?  What is your plan.  Want more gigs that actually pay.  How are YOU going to do that.  If you want to release more tracks thru labels...what labels are you going to send your traks to.  Do you want to have more of a local presence in your local clubs.  Hmmm...what is your plan.  Okay have at it!

2: get on as many promo lists as possible
3: record a great demo.
4: send demo out to coffee shops and event orangizers in the area (dj between bands)
5: get my butty out there.

musically....
1. get back up to speed in my DJing....
2. work on making some promo's
3. NETWORKING......vet's nearby, I welcome your help.
4. to find some christian events to spin at, I may not be strong enough spiritually to tackle the club world yet.
5. write music with inspiration hits, I have three release ideas and artwork already and themes too.
6. just to get out of the house. hurt

2. Get my record label up and running - started on this as well
2. Play some bigger events with some bigger names - got some stuff coming up, will post about them in the event section closer to the times
3. Start producing - just need to stop being lazy lol
4. Get my name out beyond the limits of Vancouver ahahha - got a few out of province/country gigs coming up so i hope that will help

Goals...
1. get new gear for making the switch to digital DJ'ing
2. build up CTF's audience
3. start making revenue on CTF to pay for licensing and other mantenence stuff
4. start playing regular events on a local and national level
5. start a KCMO Groove Fellowship

HOW to get this accompished...
1. Buy deeflash's used gear on Friday and upgrade my laptop to support the switch
2. More live shows, myspace and facebook (as well as advertising on music websites, etc) marketing campaign, improve the Hot Mix format I started in November
3. Sell ad banner space and live reads, as well as posting a donation button
4. Recording regular demos and hiring an agent to get these demos in the hands of promoters, get this Kansas City club running ASAP
5. Contacting as many Christians who like dance music in the KCMO metro (within a 100 mile radius) and setting a date and sticking to it on a regular basis.

All of this is doable and realistic. With God's help, 2008 will be an amazing year for Kansas City, Cast The Fire, and dj404.

And I am going to keep doing what Joel is doing...   oh wait. nevermind.

~I am expecting to release my new album in the next couple months. It is done and ready to go for release, I just have to get it into my label's hands soon.

~I want to do a mix-set series based around a theme. I am already collecting tracks for it.
Also, get a mix on the TFpodcast.

~And I have already started working with another artist on a brand new project. So, in a few months I will have tracks ready from that.

Ok, so my resolutions are only for the next 3 months, but I will get more as I complete these.

I'll do this by getting back to doing quiet times, just listen and pray for direction, and work twice as hard as I have been doing and get DJing on a regular basis.

I have quite a few goals for my DJ career and production career... They're all written in my notebook that I don't have handy right now... but off the top

1.  Finish Bible College! (woohoo for being in the home stretch!)
2.  Finish a 5 or so track release and release through deeplife record
3.  Host Doug Theodore @ Club Truth
4.  Submit my best demo yet for the Dance Barn
5.  Find other Christian DJs in the area to hook up with... (very hard  Sad)

1) Make a honest living from music. 1st step for this will be to actually finnish tracks i have started and to do this by getting help with the production. Follow up on gigs i had last year!

2) Get the Dj Vicar podcast up and running again. Need to sort out the feed and even take a new angle on the podcast.

3) Host a regular radio show on internet via CTF. Currently working with Clank and Dj Ru to start a monthly show by end of jan.

4) Get scratching and beat juggling with Ableton Live. Downloaded the pluggin and reaktor now gotta figure it out and my controllers patched up.

5) Grow and Develop Revive groove collective. Starting to meet same time each month.

You must know Adam Vegys, right? Vfire...

I'm going to start making music this year. I've already got Reason, and I'm going to spend more time using it. Really, I need to stop using my "all important" day job as an excuse, admit to being a workaholic at times, and then start making music.

I just made some studio changes for 08.  I switched to Logic 8 and I got traktor scratch to start working on the DJ end.  Talked to a local club, so they are asking for a demo.

I may be shuting my label down ( or lay dormat for a time) to concentrate on bigger labels this year.  I think for me to move forward I need to work with someone who has a great PR machine already.  I've been in contact with a few, and have some open doors.  I am interested in labels like Get physical, Pryda, Planet e, Joia, Circle, anything techy really, a few others. I also am considering doing mastering for people this year.  I will also be helping VictorJohn get Tekfunk going stronger this year with some material and remixes.  Would love to go to WMC this year, but we will see.

So overall I think moving my productions up in skill and profile is the main goal.  Djing is something I would like to start by the end of the year as well, possibly much earlier.
