I love my gemini ikey, but sometimes taking it and plugging in it to record my mixes has been a problem.

anyway looking for a good computer program that records with a line in.

hardware wise, the M-Audio Microtrack is good.

software, Audacity is free, but I would go with Adobe Audition or Sony's Sound Forge.

You can always use a DAW, like Ableton, Cubase, Logic 8, a program like that, if you have an interface>  Not sure exactly what you are looking for.

i still get gigs where i must use cds as a media...like sabroso they really have all djs using vinyl and cdjs.  Im not against tractor and stuff...just gotta keep djing cds to make money when i can.

you can use control cds with Traktor Scratch Wink and still have your cd players.

according to this page, he at least would sign some of his works in crayon. There also seems to be some question as to whether or not Picasso did work in crayon. And... according to this academic journal... Picasso did use them.

hehehe..DJed in many clubs lately? it's not that you can't technically tear their equipment apart to hook up your laptop and controller,  it's about what gear they have at the club.  and standard gear is now CD players...

I use Audacity. Works like a charm. My laptop's also blessed with a soundcard that can choose between line in and mic, on the one input (only one at a time), but I can get the levels I need Smiley
