just bought their album, figured they were a christian group from all their packaging and what little i knew about them. but in their liner notes, although they thanked God they gave MTV equal/greater thanks. maybe i'm just being too critical but does anyone know for sure if their christian or if its all just irony?

why is there not a "beating a dead horse" icon?
will them being (or not) christians alter the quality of their music or their impact on dance floors around the world?

I don't know if they are or not. Their video for D.A.N.C.E. starts out underneath a bunch of Chics with mini skirts on. They do display a big glowing cross at most of their shows...but a lot of 80's hair band rockers sported a big dangling cross ear ring too. Their music is bangin' and they are in my friends list even though they are from France (The anti christ will prolly come from France). Hope this helps .

For the record, I hate their music. It's so corny and I think the only reason people like them is because they are so different.

I know man. I was just throwing that in there so if someone from France read this that they would know that we have much love for Frenchies! I think I am going to make some french toast now! With lots of Maple syrup! Go Canada!

Probably not. But to some people it may impact whether they listen to them or not. Some people care about the artists that make the music. If they are not strong believers then they don't want to listen to them. I was like this at one time in my life, so I understand where they are coming from. You may think it is silly Joel, but not everyone wants to take life so carefree as you. They have certain standards that they live by and feel very strongly about those standards. Please have as much grace for those who are "religious/narrow minded" as you do for the "cool" people.
