There are ways to circumvent Beatport. Their implementation of geoIP doesn't cover all the bases Smiley

hahaha, slightly off topic but your use of the word "circumvent" just reminded me of Gob Bluth.

yesterday i watched one of my favorite episodes, "the immaculate election."

gob's election video is some of the funniest shight i've ever seen.  lol.

that's pretty cool, though I had already knew how they work, cool to see the bullets load from the magazine to the chamber.

You read my post wrong -- and proved it when you tried to tell me what it said in your PM.  You thought I was commenting on the relation of "the hurricane" (Gustav) and the current election.  What I was commenting on was actually just the fact that our 4-year cyclone cycle has lined up with our election cycle so that we have the worst hurricane season every election year -- a historical ongoing process, not anything about one specific hurricane and any specific current political events.  But, wow, I guess that scientific fact is just so much more in violation of rule #3 than making fun of one of the current presidential candidates is.

I don't see any correlation. Hurricanes happen every year.

Compressors : Well you can only do so much reading.  I'd try a few demos.  The better software compressors are the Waves API 2500, UAD mentioned, Sonalkis, Alogrithmix (expensive).  These are some of the top I see used.

Hardware:  I understand that hardware is more, I use alot of software compressors etc in Logic & UAD, then use the hardware for bus compression and mastering.  Just depends on what your needs are.

 - here's some samples I did:

 - Also I messed with McDSP Chrome, hadn't been able to hook up my guitar, though NI's Guitar Rig looks better.

 - Are there huge differences between API, SSL and Neve?

 - Did they set out to make products different from each other?  What do each do best?

 - oh, also forgot to add this company to the list:

http://www.ursplugins.com/

for the original question, this company is good as well.

 - anyone got favorite reverb and delays as well?

Currently I only have Digidesign's DVerb and haven't got to it yet, but also have Trillium Lane Labs TL Space.  Delays, just the standard and a cool Moogerfooger Analog Delay that came in the pack I got.

I downloaded the Sony Oxford (Sonnox) Reverb, it sounds really good.  But I've also thought of going hardware and do an external buss with a Lexicon rack.
