i've got a buddy who swears by torq, havent heard one of his mixes on it yet, all he's using is the midi controller (whatever the cheap one is that they have). there are a lot of options out there, whatever you wanna do chris. i have serato, swear by it, but i'm even thinking about going to something else that i can use a portable controller with, just because like now when i'm gone, i cant lug around my decks and a mixer, just a simple controller would be perfect for what i need right now, which is basically just something to keep me in practice. looking at my options, and that hercules thing looks pretty cool, there's like 3 versions of it, some come with software for like 150 bucks, just having dreams for the future for myself.
the only advice i can give you chris is get something you know you're gonna like, from what i've seen all the dj software is a little different they all have their little quirks.
I could say, Traktor can, controller or vinyl control, but have you seen where the VCI-300 now comes with Serato? I think its a cut down version, but probably works with your version.
