I did a wedding reception on Saturday at a hanger and did a little pre-reception party there on Friday night.

I am beginning the very preliminary planning for a party next fall.  I know it is a long way out.  But some of you remember that I threw a pretty successful party here in Atlanta with 6 months of planning and booked Jamey Wright and Audity (Nsoul records) also booked djs from Tenn and North Carolina.  We had about 250-300 come thru the door and pulled a profit.   I just decided today/last night that I am going to do this.

Pretty much I am going to book a couple Christian locals/regionals and 1-2 national guys and 1 big pro (shiloh, Joel A., etc.)...I hope to catch one of them already on tour.

what I need is sound and lighting.  I also need someone to design a flyer and make them as well.  These are obviously paid positions.

Other than that I shall be planning this & putting up the funding for this.  I have a bunch of #'s already in my head, but this is very feasable and I have a hanger that is available to me I think.  If not booking that is completely doable.

OOO...  this is not a rave...not even close.  It is a celebration/fest of sorts.  It is not a Christian event, but probably will be comprised of all christian artists.  The event will run all afternoon till around 3-4 am.  Tickets are going to be 20 bucks which includes a full buffet.  More info is coming way way later.

This is going to happen, just a matter of when, not if.

Last thing...I am looking for partners for this event.  If you are interested PM me and we will see where it goes.  I am not looking for DJs or talent yet.

i know a tom of ppl in Atlanta (lol i dunno why but Atlanta and Nova Scotia both provide a ton of listeners for my radio show ahaha) so i can promote the party around them for you and get them to invite people as well when it gets to that point.

dude that totally sounds like an awesome idea. i personally live too far away to attend (seattle), but it sounds great. a party in an airplane hanger just sounds so awesome! i wish we had a venue like that out here.

this hanger holds 2 small planes and it easily will help us throw a banging party for 300-800 people.

The guy who owns the planes flys them out on the weekend and i just gotta find the weekend he is gone and its a wrap.  two planes fit in there..one he flies and the other will go in the hanger that is across the runway from it.

I have a cousin that lives in Atlanta that I've been wanting to visit.  My wife and I have been wanting to check the aquarium out also.  So just give me a heads up when it's going to be so I can plan a vacation around your event.

basically i am doing my cafe:ine nights on sundays here north of atlanta to get a feel for throwing some events again in atl.  I think the spring will be ok there, but the summer should really pop.  I am going to put all my promoting focus on this until it does well, which i believe it will, then I will focus my energy on the hanger.
