What does everyone like to do for fun hobby wise?

Music stuff doesn't count...let's face it we are on the site in some form or fashion because of music so that's just a given.

I figure I should answer my own question...

I like to take pictures (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ctatunderground/).

I like to write about what's happening in my life (http://www.captivethoughts.net/).

I like to read (which includes listening to audiobooks).

I like listening to podcasts (this is a new addiction).

i actually draw, ski, longboard, play paintball used to be quite an avid bgamer but cut back on that for personal reasons. i love to go hiking, and do outdoors stuff, like camping, swimming, used to be into weight lifting... i should get back into that and geet all buff*arnold voice*  i actually am quite good with a bullwhip as well ;-) not in a dirty way either... you sickos!  i like to water ski when i can. and also when its avaliable 4 wheeling, I have also been known to take my truck into some uubar nar places in the middle of the mountains just for fun... id like to get into motorcycles as well, and nate may actually be an outlet for that :-) i can play hacky sack like nobodys business, as well as can yo yo pretty well (not like dj yo yo of course, but hey comeon... thats what he does...) anyway if i think of more ill let ye know :-)

I shoot pool and I love going to theme parks. I have a season pass for disneyland.

i like to go to theme parks too, it is a very rare occasion that i do since the closest one is 6 hours drive, and its not even that good a theme park... i also forgot that i LOVE pool as well :-) oh yea and i LOOOVE playing poker... tis much fun...

you need to move to So Cal Mr. Ellipse!  ;D

oh and music production is sort of a hobby for me....

I like to do graphics like Photoshop and Illustrator.  I like working on cars and trucks, especially my custom Chevy, when I have the money or time.  I use to collect a lot of different things, but over past five years, been selling it down or giving it away.

There's a lot of things I like doing.  Most of what has been named or will be, I like.  It's just either I'm broke, don't have the time or don't have any friends to do it with.

So that just leaves me with graphics and music.

Breakdancing, Agg. rollerblading, skatebording, snowboarding, soap shoes, Skiing.  Fixing my computer-seems more like a job but somtimes a hobby.  Vidoephotorgrphy-Taking pics.  Restoring old full sized video games hear and thier.

A lot.  Interests evolve over time, too.  So, in no particular order:

1.  Roller derby (will always be my favorite sport, I believe, and I would like to play it again)
2.  Music -- I play lots of things, write music, etc.  It's very enjoyable for me.
3.  Poetry (reading and writing it), writing (poetry, short stories, journaling, etc.), reading -- all kinds of books (sci-fi, fantasy, fiction, memoirs, horror ala Stephen King or Dean Koontz)
4.  Cooking because of my obsession with natural foods, as well as the creative element involved.
5.  Gardening because I like nature and living things, esp. pretty living things!
6.  Playing with my cats -- if you met my cats, you'd become a believer too  :P
7.  Watching movies -- "smart" comedies, suspense, psychological thrillers, kiddie movies (like Finding Nemo), foreign films, indie films, dramas, character development films, and weird movies that make you think.
8.  Crafts, all kinds -- from painting, drawing, interior design, clothing alterations/modifications, making jewelry, needlepoint, cross-stitch, etc.
9.  Travelling
10. Spending time with family and friends, oftentimes doing nothing.  Spending time in the presence of another, getting to know who they really are as a person.
11. Anything outdoorsy -- Camping, hiking, fishing, sitting there looking at stuff *lol*.  I like the connection to nature/earth because it's calming.  I grew up in the country, so go figure.  *lol*
12. Sports -- I've always been pretty active, but.... not so much lately, which will change.  I don't like watching
11.  Dancing -- grew up doing it, and gymnastics.  I find it to be connected to music.

I think that about sums it up for me.  Hey, I know it's a lot.  I was an only kid growing up, so I had to find ways to occupy myself. 

^ She likes cooking, fishing, and sports and trained in gymnastics. How is this woman still single?!?!?!? I just don't get the guys in this younger generation. :laugh:

Um, I have a career, which I'm changing, cuz I hate it.  That's all just stuff I like to do in my "spare" time, although lately, I've been really, really lazy.  Well, lots of thinking to do, actually.  I won't be "lazy" forever.  Currently in the "birthing" phase.  No.  Don't think like that.  You know what I mean. 


Um... boys suck, mayhaps?  Or maybe I'm just the cat lady sort.  I do luvs my kittays!   :P

Nyx...are you technically an only? me too!!! I didnt really develop hobbies so much as a really really way too fantastic imagination and daydreamed more than anything, and read alot. lol. ( ok so i still daydream alot)

I socialize. Alot.
Ive become a movie buff in the past year or so cuz theres not much else to do really lol. Music, of course, I love reading but im usually too busy to do that as much. In the summer that is. I walk alot, and this summer ive done alot more. I love swimming and canoeing and I discovered that I really like kayaking, as long as im not having to keep up with people cuz ive only done it once so im not so great...but next year.....oh yeah. haha.
Going to coffee shops, hanging out at chapters ( YES i know), just hanging out with people basically.
ooh and shopping. Shoes and handbags have become my newest coping mechanism. It could be bad.

Um.... yup.  Nah, I actually do stuff, too, when I'm inspired, that is.  I can do some pretty amazing things then.  Problem is, I don't care to be famous, so that's a big problem...  *lol*

Yeah, my problem is that my own company is way too good, then when those ones who think they're "God's gift" come along, I just smirk, roll my eyes, and yell "NEXT!!!!"
