Why don't you create a Tastyfresh group on Flickr so that people can add photos to the group and any Flickr member can see them and add them as well.

I use Flickr so if you need help, hollar.

lol... i'm in total agreement, but we had screamo fanboys dancing to techno/tech house so i'm not going to complain too much.   the worst guy we saw there was some dude in short short stretchy shorts with "princess" across the butt.  just weird that cornerstone...

"Do you ever wear a shirt???"

"That's not fair! I wore a shirt for 3 hours yesterday and you saw me!!"

I wore a shirt all week and for some odd reason, Crystal saw no reason for me to be wearing one.

From the look of the photos in the barn looks like not just different equipment according to the dj but also that each dj played from different places in the barn?

Interesting to see all the different variations of dj set ups!

Ok so I realize I have no photos from the barn or the generator stage....which totally makes it seem like I didn't check out either but I did...I just hid out this year.

Anyway here are my pictures

Well... we did do some changes over the week. BTU night we actually had 6 acts to set up and everyone used a different set up. Doug used CDs, Oneel used abelton and the uc-33e, adam used ableton and the berihnger knob controller, I had ableton, a trigger finger and my remote zero, Patrick had 3 keyboards and abelton and finally, alex had 2 turntables.

Alex had to go on the floor due to stage constraints and that's when we first saw how well the crowd interacted with the DJ then. The next night we did it all on the stage and then after that, we had Jeremy K on stage followed by stryke on the floor. Friday, we just put both DJs on the floor and that just rocked.

Next year, we'll probably do eveyone on the floor or no higher than 6 inches above it. That means... we need a new stage.

All of this was facilitated really by Mike from Flickerings getting over zealous in an attempt to get right of extra junk in the barn by having the trash guys removing it and burning it. The DJ booth/table accidentally became on of the casualties. Had this not happened, we would never have been as creative in our set ups.

Was stryke using decks and ableton. From pics looks like he was djing using both or was he using serato opr final scratch?

That was his last set ever using Final Scratch with Traktor and a Trigger Finger. He had Traktor Scratch waiting for him back at home. But yeah... if you get Traktor Scratch, you have GOT to get a Trigger Finger for triggering all of the FX and looping tools. It is a must.

Since there is a pitch bending tool out there for ableton though... there isn't any reason why you COULDN'T use decks and ableton. The question then is WHY would you.

Im not sure why one would use ableton and decks. I just spotted the trigger finger in the pic and asumed it must be ableton. Actually i can think of few reasons for decks and ableton, but cant say why id ever attempt it!

anyway.. will check out the btu photos

that's a really good idea. i like being able to shake hands, etc while i'm doing a set :)

watch out, tho! it's more intimidating when someone's looking right at your hands as you're trying to beatmatch.

Well... that's why we book the pros ;)

KT was a little shaky on it at first, but he was fine once he realized we had him barricaded in.
