Hi to all you limeys out there!

A few months ago, I posted mentioning that we had a fellowship potential in the South-East (Kent to be exact), and since then a small group of us have met up, prayed, discussed, planned and come to some decisions on how/where/what/who...

And here we are, we have a room, an event, and some DJs. 

Once I work out how to post the flyer (i.e. attach an image!) I will, but here are the details:

Venue - Tonbridge Baptist Church, Tonbridge, Kent
Date   - Sat 30th December 2006
Time   - 7pm - 10.30pm

I actually work in West Sussex, so it isn't far at all.  I see that you will be in Cuckfield, so you're looking at about a 35 minute drive.

hey guys :)  please keep me informed of the things you do there in UK, I often come by for a couple weeks about once a year or so... the music I am mainly into is similar to the London UK breakbeat sounds and some house and progressive house... hope to eventually start a label here out of my studio in Canada (no timeline on that, could be anytime really, within the next year or two).  my heart is there in England with you all...  8) That video is HEAVY man, I love Strange World... very inspiring promo. Who did the editing? It will be bit of a mission to get there for me from Essex but its do'able... Somewhere to crash would be a deciding factor in exchange for maybe my offer to help with the setting up/down?

Indeedy... we might bring a few more peeps along this time, could be wha our young people need. And then, our youth leader might be up for doing one at our church.

The one thing I was dissapointed in was the Insomnia tune... a tune it may be, but you could've found a dub version. Not the best lyrics in a dance tune ever: "making mad love on the heath/tearing off tights with my teeth"... esp for a night hosted by christians, we've gotta be more different than that. No compromise! No Laodecia!

Yup, sorry for that one Drew!  I think it was an unintentional oversight rather than a dilution of what we were about though.  We'll take that one on board though, and I'll make sure we "vet" the lyrical content, and indeed "spirit" of the tunes we have on.  As I'm sure you know, it's not always just the lyrics that can affect a tune, sometimes the pure intentions it was written with can be negative.

Yeah, agree with you there. Glad we're singing from the same hymn sheet...  ???

when and where is the next meeting?
im in cuckfield and i may be able to get a ride but i also may need to get a ride. i also may have some ministry opportunities starting in april in brighton. so be in prayer about that.
