Title: for those of you with kids... an interesting study
Post by: scott zeilenga on October 17, 2006, 09:19:33 AM

Hey everyone.   I was reading through some online articles and this one caught my attention.  My girlfriend runs a daycare and I forwarded it to her as well.

Could there be a link between autism and early childhood television viewing?

*chuckle* an ad for PBS turned up in the middle of the text: the best programs on tv. Period. *chuckle*

yah... tv prior to 2 is NOT a good idea. That's not the ONLY study that shows that I believe.

I'm fortunate that Eric hasn't really DISCOVERED the TV yet. He won't sit there and watch it in general. He'll watch in maybe 5-10 min spans if we are watching it. He'd rather clean the house or run around and throw blocks. Seriously, give that kid a toilet brush and a plunger and he's a happy boy.

same with isaac, he'll lay in bed with me and britt for about 15 min watching baby einstein, but then get up and...excuse the cliche, hop on pop.

Hop on pop, I rember when Noah used to do that, levi not so much.  We have tryed to limit the tv time with Levi.  Although he likes to watch his brother play games, I would vig. that watching video games are prob. worse then tv.
