Title: Upgrading RAM Post by: Just Drew on September 15, 2006, 06:02:19 AM Ok, so i'm upgrading from 1GB to 2GB RAM on my laptop. Curently i have two 512MB DDR PC2700 333Mhz modules.
PNY do 1GB PC3200 DDR which is compatible with PC2700, but i saw they also do 1GB dual channel RAM too, PC2-5300 DIMM DDR2 667MHz. So two questions: whats the difference? is it compatible with PC2700? Any advice ppl? Unfortunately DDR2 is not compatible with DDR motherboards. P.S. I managed to get an Asus mobo that needed a very specific kind of RAM and anything else could have fried my board(or, maybe it just would have fried the ram, or nothing at all)...
