Well, first of all YES, Army is Army and we are all in it together, as well as Marines because we are all fighting the same war. But, I am proud to have been a mortarman and no I was not just a grunt. I started out a 11b but went thru additional training. And being a mortarman I was always in a cavalry or armor unit. I could of been in an infantry unit as well but just never was. But YES, all the infantry 11-series did have a blue cord so I guess I could see how you would think we where the same thing.

Hubby and I ARE going to Nationals - we've already started planning it!  I'll be entering in the open tournament.  I'll probably loose out early in my first few rounds, but I can't wait for the opportunity to see some of the best pool in the country!  And who knows - maybe by next May I'll have more of what it takes to compete...

Ah, finnish.. the ultimate language! We have very special word for this: "Typerä" (stupid, foolish). "Ty" means nothing, but the best part is that "perä" really means "arse" or "end". So "typerä" is very compact and powerful word.

My favourite finnish words are:
- "Kolmivaihekilowattituntimittari" (three-phase kilowatt hour meter)
- "Lämpimämpi" (warmer)
