Title: How to Chart Properly? Post by: Christopher Carl on May 10, 2008, 04:12:09 PM I never chart. EVER. Not because I don't want to, but because I don't stick to the same set of tracks every time I spin. Well, that, and the fact that I just don't understand how it should be done properly.
For those of you who do chart, what determines which tracks show up on that chart and who do you report it to? Title: Re: How to Chart Properly? Title: Re: How to Chart Properly? Post by: Oneel on May 10, 2008, 07:34:15 PM I choose whatever tracks are really moving me at the moment. Charts are also a bit political though...It's an avenue to get exposure for yourself and your friends.
Title: Re: How to Chart Properly? Post by: Christopher Carl on May 10, 2008, 07:36:44 PM OK but are there any companies that you would benefit from reporting your charts to? AKA should you report your charts to anybody in particular? Otherwise, just stick to posting what you play more heavily on your website?

Title: Re: How to Chart Properly? Post by: Alex Wilson on May 26, 2008, 10:42:33 AM people see it, if you picked really quality tracks. people will start to notice that and begin trusting your selection.
on the flipside, if someone who is trusted charts your tracks, it opens up a new avenue for marketing... its just good all the way around. |
